To all those who are thinking of going to Hawaii to volunteer (to go WWOOFing) on a farm:

Hello and thank you for your interest in WWOOFing in Hawaii. I feel compelled (and responsible) to share a few things about Hawaii and WWOOFing.

WWOOF Hawaii has become extremely popular, and my concern is that you as volunteers (WWOOFers) might not be able to find a host place.

We offer about 46 hosts on The Big Island, 20 hosts on Maui, and 7 on Oahu and Kauai. Kauai is a very popular destination for many young people, yet there is not much of an organic farm scene going on there. Therefore, you need to apply early in order to arrange a placement.

"I'd like to thank you for all the corresponding you did. I had a great time . . you were right - I got spoiled"
Lena Armstrong, Enderby, BC, Canada

"Thank you so much for sending the farm booklet so quickly." Ingrid Hermann, Munich, Germany

"Great time! Fishing, exploring the islands near-by, milking the goats, lovely people, very welcoming, great children, meditation in the evenings. I loved it!"
Sophie Hopson, Buckinghamshire, England

" . . very interesting evenings as well. - being story tellers one is never short of entertainment"
Sophie from England - about hosts in north central BC
