This forum is in regards to Akaka Pitstop. Thought I might post it to inform WWOOFers potentially interested in this place about some details/facts they do not give, or give fully.

One WWOOFer said he felt "misled." In the past few months and maybe even longer, most of the WWOOFers that have come through have not stayed more than a day, or a few days. One only stayed a night and had only gotten there earlier that evening.

Why are people not staying? Most likely b/c of the accommodations. Frankly, this place isn't sanitary. There is one good cabin; the other isn't finished. It has a toilet protruding through the floor that isn't connected. The building itself is unstable.

Some people were kicked off due to "lack of effective communication," but when they tried talking to the farmer about this, he refused to talk.

The good things about this farm is that you do make a little money, depending on how much the fruit stand makes. At heart, they are good people, though there are definitely some things they need to work out.
